I am a collector of many interests and collect various countries and topics.
I also collect various cigarettes of the world, not only stamps.

As I wrote about stamps of Lithuania in the day before yesterday, I'll write an installment.
They are the full sheets of the first stamps of Republic of Lithuania. I payed 200Euro but it was a canny buying I think.
They are not listed on Scott which are said to have listed all the stamps of the world.
They are listed on Michel which is said the most detailed, but the catalogue my friend(please see 29 Oct.'s blog) sent me classifies them more minutely.
From 2001(I think), Scott is issued in CD-ROMs but it maybe wonderful if Michel were issued in CD-ROMs.
The stamps of the countries who haven't joined UPU cannot be used for sending airmails but I have a cover like this. Lithuania to Slovenija.
Well, writing about UPU, I have a little worthy aerogrammes like these. I think people who don't collect stamps cannot understand what's worthy of them. The airmails are sent from Japan to other countries so seldom come back to Japan. This one is more better. The name of the post office and the date can be read.
If you have a look at a catalogue, the catalogue values are mint: 550Yen used: 300Yen but the answer to a question "So, can I get a used of this aerogramme if I pay 300Yen?" is "No". Well...it's like "Looking back beauty"(please see 11th Oct.)-a stamp you can get anytime anywhere if you only pay but used are difficult to collect.
I have a very small collection of Lithuania 1918-1940(before USSR). A very little collection(it is out of the question).
This maybe an imprudent utterance but collecting stamps during a war, a place of a territorial dispute, occupation post are very interesting and this is not yet completed well, they are only "china" overprints of the Kiku definitives but the same stamps were sold at both Japan and China first. However, stockjobbers who bought the same stamps there in large quantity and sold here taking ship in the difference of rate appeared so they were overprinted "china".
This is a list of cancellations on Kiku stamps. "x" means "it does not exist" and "u" means "the existance is not yet confirmed".
"Scenic cancellations(illustrated cancellations)" existed from the very beginning of the modern post,
and even a "catalogue of cancellations" exist.
For my side job, I have obtained a kiloware of 1980s' Scenic cancellations.
BTW, this blogger often presents a stamp to people who sent mails so I'll imitate. Stamps of Manchuria issued in 1st Dec. 1942, "Anniversary of Great East Asianism War", set of 2. mailto:wrlz@yahoo.co.jp The deadline is 5th Nov. 2005
What a surprise! I won "EMERALD"! I have made an entry to Swan River Stamp Show 2005, one frame class-a collection of Korea. I have just recieved a registered mail from Australia with my collection back and with a plate(my name printed) and an Award.
70points total(full mark is 100), Some people say that it's improper that a hobby is scored but I have been making entries several times. I could not break the Bronze barrier for a long time, won Silver-Bronze by Australian Antarctic Territory.
One failure. I was told that I don't need the stamps on the 2nd leaf.
I included these stamps to show the continuation of the country but it had a reverseeffect.
If I did not do this, maybe it was more than 70points.
This is a rare commercial cover. Early stamps used for sending mails are seldom found..
Rare used originals.
Very special thanks to Dr.T.M. who gave me beneficial advice.
An invitation to River City 2006 Philatelic Exhibition was included, which will be held in next August.
Do I have to make an entry again?^_^ Well, how about a collection of former USSR, Slav? I wish if I could visit Brisbane this time. I want to see my collection displayed and look around the dealers for Australian stamps-I am collecting Australis(please see 7th Oct.).
As is generally(only my friends) known, I am fastidious about tobacco. Since 1994 when I started smoking, I have tried 332 different cigarettes. Here is my collection and the database.
When I entered the hospital a few years ago, I was very boring and there was a place where 4 or 5 vending machines were standing near the hospital. I tried all of them from the upper left.
I have put profile at Yahoo! UK & Ireland and asked some new friends who made contact to I to send me some cigarettes of their own countries.
These 2 were very delicious. Russia.
Lithuania.
I am very interested in Russia, former USSR countries and the world of Slav and when I found the website of USSR, Russia I was very delighted and posted everyday on the guestbook. I still post something sometimes. This is also the place where I met a man who sent me cigarettes of Poland, lighter of Gdansk, etc.(see 13th Oct.).
I took interest in Eurasia
and the reason why I began to collect former USSR countries, well...please have a look at this leaflet. The explanation of my exhibits "Republic of Moldova" and "Transdniestria".
The collections themselves are at here and here. (This is an illustrated cancellation I designed when the 1st exhibition was held) I bought(won) a big collection of former USSR countries(it did not include 3 Baltic countries) at an auction(Sandafayre) in 2001. They were arranged in 3 big and worthy albums in alphabetical order. This is Kazakhtan(overprints on the stamps of USSR very much attracted I).
As for Ukraine, luxurious illustrated leaves(including local issues shown).
Although this collection did not include 3 Baltic countries, I fortunately have friends in Lithuania and Slovenija.
A catalogue from my friend in Lithuania(click to look the inside).
A dictionary from my friend in Slovenija.
My friend(please see 18th Oct.) asked I "Why are used stamps worthy than unused stamps?" and I explained her about covers-commercial, FDC, etc.
This is what is called "commercial cover"(this cover was returned to the sender).
The arrival mark on the back of the envelope prooves that this cover was really, commercially sent.
This is a commercial cover with a commemorative cancellation.
To begin with, what is "stamp"? It is a piece of paper issued by a country(not only "states" but governments or powers*) and her just and ideology are reflected(stamps are sometimes called "small diplomatic official). We can understand the actual sphere of influence from the cancellations on the stamps, the quality of paper and the method of printing explains the level of her skill, the face value links with a price index.
*Powers. As an example of stamps not issued by a rightful country, I'll introduce "Chinese Liberation Area Stamps".
I have later stamps in full sheets so,
please access La Philatelie Vostok if anyone is interested in. I'm selling them in very low prices.
Please have a look at the stamps of Japan when we were to be beaten.
Some are without gum, changed from engraving to cheap typography, some of them are unclear with ther dates of issue.
Let's talk about FDC(First Day Cover) next. For example, this is a leaf with both mint and FDC,
and if you have a look at the catalogue, you may see that FDCs are expensive than mints.
You can also make an FDC by yourself, not only buying ready-made FDCs. They are the FDCs I made at Tokyo Central Post Office and proove that I bought these stamps in their date of issue、
and this is an FDC I sent commecially by Poste Restante.
It arrived in the next day I sent it and an arrival mark is stamped.
Well, what I wanted to say is that both tobaccoes and stamps are deep.
My obstanacy against writing a blog everyday even I am having work in hand(I haven't finished "BIOHAZARD" yet).
I have just counted how much I spent on tobaccoes and liquors last month.
4,610Yen total. Dear me! I'm going to spend more than 40,000Yen a year! Philately-I've been collecting stamps since 1978 and be seized by fear, I cannot count but theoretically, I must have more than 20,000 materials including stationery. I am spending around 20,000Yen approx. a month for stamps and if I were to live till 80, I'm going to spend 12,000,000Yen for stamps.
If I did not collect stamps, did not smoke, did not drink, I must have lived in a mansion now ^_^ Well, but a life without a hobby is boring. This pipe costed 70,000Yen.
From left to right, Shizuo Arita No.0332, Takeo Arita No.034, Peterson Limited Edition 2001. Yes, yes, yes, I'm spending too much.
This is the room where my collections are kept.
Recently, I'm into tomato juice rather than alcohols. Tomato Juice with Tabasco, pepper and salt. It seems there is no habit of putting Tabasco into tomato juice in Japan. Is it only in Europe? I am also drinking Coca-Cola recently
There was a strange habit among the young that turning every kind of drink to sparkle when I was living in Dublin. There were always machines of turning drinks-even water-to sprak in my friends' houses called "sparkler" or something to put in gas. BTW, I mentioned about stamp booklets in yesterday's blog and there used to ge a strange "Mini-Pack" panes in Japan.
I don't know why Japan Post issued such a pane inconvenient. They are very cheap, around 500Yen.
I think the most inconvenient is the imperf. booklet of DPR Korea(North Korea).
Can you see that there is no perforation. You need scissors. Even the stamps of fire engines are propaganda in DPRK. Click to enlarge.
"Let's protect the people's fortunes and lives we won by Revolution!"
]Originally, stamp booklets were issued for the facility of carry but the imperf. booklets of DPRK can be said the extreme of ignoring convenience(they are still issued every month, both perf. and imperf.).
I am playing "BIOHAZARD" from the beginning again. My long nightmare hasn't ended yet. I'm playing it little by little as I don't have a nerve of man. Is there no problem in teenagers are playing such a violent and grotesque nightmare?
E---YA, C'MON C'MON C'MON...'ay 'ay 'ay AAR! "Wow, what a mansion". The word "mansion" means a palatial house but we also use this word in Japanese(an English word coined in Japan).
I created a chronological table of 704years from the beginning of the world to the end of the world. It will be a a very long piece of more than 30 episodes. A lot more than "Starwars". A mail from JT(Japan Tobacco Industry).
I opened it trembling with joy but it was only a prepayed card-in reward for answering the enqute. Trifling gift ^ _ ^ By the way, when 4 new cigarettes were put on the market in April, I only received 3 samples. Please don't forget>JT.
I can finally brought to the end(BIOHAZARD). The only problem is the lack of projectiles and medical herbs to recover my life. My long long nightmare nearly ends. I understood the whole story. I thought there is something wrong with Barry Burton but the real wirepuller was Albert Wesker. I am playing it using Jill Valentine. I was playing it till 6AM. in the morning and the rising sun dazzled my eyes. I am sorry that I cannot show you the ending. Even I have 3 Macintosh-es at home, I haven't constructed any kind of LAN. Macintosh Performa 5440(my first Mac) has a video-capture board(composit signals) but I need a long cable.
I think I'll try it again from the beginning(NEW GAME), with strict economy, as my friend T. told me if I finish all the mission within 3 hours, something will happen.
Mr.T. was saying he has ordered another nightmare(a game) for me and will bring it for me. Dear me! My friends are thinking of killing me by a cardioclasis! I went to the post office to send a simplified registered mail to my friend. The post-office clerk cancelled it beautifully as the paper I brought.
By the way, I mentioned about shops who take a trade-in on mintstamps, merchandise coupon, railway ticket etc., and I did not know how they are called in English. Somehow, shops like these are Japanese peculiarity. We call them "Kinken(note) shop". If translated in English by main force, it's "a discount coupon and ticket shop". Ticket shop does not trade-in on stamps less than 50Yen of their face values(please see the blog of 18th Oct.) so many are being troubled by how to consume the stamps less than 50Yen which declined heavily. The only way is to use them for sending mails.
As for these kinds of old(B32, issued in 1 July 1967) booklets, there is a regular market among collectors. This B32(Sakura number) booklet costs more than 2,000Yen. 5Yen for postcards and 15Yen for envelopes.
This booklet(pane) is very cheap, issued in 31 Jan. 1972 when the postage(postcards) was raised to 10Yen from 7Yen. 3Yen stamps were to pay the balance.
This is the first stamp booklet issued in Japan. 850,000Yen. As is naturally expected, I don't have it.
A staff from Komone came around 13PM. As I was playing "BIOHAZARD" till the midnight, I nearly forgot to open the door.
"You have once again entered the world of survival horror. Good luck!". Fortunately, I have a scence of direction so don't get lost in the mansion, waterway, etc.
Another nightmare is the dentist. Today, 16PM., dentist(Ouch!). I(the dentist) almost finished the backs of the foretooth. I was air-raided firmly(2 X-rays). It was around 2,800Yen and I was careless. I only had 2,000Yen in my purse. It was only 870Yen last week. I'll bring the total next week. I bought stamps at the post office before going to the dental clinic. Peeling off "Greetings Winter" seal stamps. Click to enlarge.
I bought 3 sheets and sent it to my friend(please see the blog of 18 Oct.).
Please cancel it beautifully.
This is the 5th sticker-form stamp in Japan. No.1. Sticker-form definitives(booklet) exist but this is the first one issued as "commemorative stamp". It is classified as one of the definitives in the catalogues but it's a commemorative stamp, I think. It can't be recognized on the monitor of your computer but there is a small scar on the originals(varaiety between the original and reprint).
No.2. Doraemon is one of the most famous cartoon in Japan. This sheet uses the same model as No.1.
Variety in paper.
This is how to peel off the entire sheet of sticker-formed stamps. 1: Turn upside down the sheet. 2: Peel off the "ground paper", not the stamps. 3: Carefully put it on the envelope.
Now, I'm once again entering the world of survival horror. Good luck!
I shirked my duties and wrote 2 days' blog in 1 day. Woody brought me "BIOHAZARD DIRECTOR'S CUT", this time, a dual shock version.
I was too busy to write a blog. What an amazing interesting nightmare it is! I became unaware of the sage of time and was playing it till 3AM. in the midnight.
"You have once again entered the world of survival horror. Good luck!" Huh? "Good luck"? it's really scary! I died more than 5 times yesterday.
Generally, when a a man is become feverish, he/she dreams a strange dream.
Evangelion plus
A.D.2006, people spread out living in the Northern and exposed Man to biohazard of Stockholm-Phin virus which was only a endemic illness. Shin Fugaku, Rei Ayanami and Ise(I) were doing graduate work at Asahikawa University. It fall upon myself. There was an earthquake and the streets outside the university began swallowing people. I escaped with my own body. The roadside trees turned into hungry women and I snatched from the jews of being swallowing-some were swallowed-, the road surface melted and caught my legs. My scruff of the neck got bitten by something and it was a real pain. I run and run and run and run into the epidemiology centre. I told the doctor "I, I, i was..." and he answered"Yes, I know", then brought set of drip. There were a lot of victims of Phin virus waiting for the intravenous drip and it was a real nightmare.
It was said that cattle were the vectors of Phin virus My grandfather started research on cattle. He found a book about cattle but only folk song of cowherds was on the book but on the 3rd page there was a photo of a cow in a really impure dirt. He thought they may by a connection and flew to Northern Europe.
A few day after, I saw Fugaku and Ayanami talking and Fugaku had a piece of armoring when he fought at the place full of Phin virus. I asked him to lend it to me so I can make an antibody but his answer was arrogant. "I cant lend it. This is a memory of Shinji Ikari. Well...5,000,000 New Yen will do." I became beside with anger and snatched from it shouting "What a brute of a man you are to hide a material saving millions of people! I'll pay you 5million!" I brought the piece to the lab to make an antibody. I told Fugaku "It doesn't hurt even if I pay you 5million as I can get patent royalty. It's not really a memory as you sold it with money". "I'll set the patent of the antibody at 15 New Yen on the other hand, the most cheapest antibody of HIV is 32 New Yen".
A staff came from Komone around 13PM. I have a strong heat. They always measure my blood pressure, pulse and also listen the sound of my heart using a stethoscope. I was told that my cardiac is very clear even I am smoking. I woke up around 5 AM. and quit smoking for 7 hours as it's vexatious(ha ha) that I am told that my pulsation is fast. By the way, I am a little eager in designing other person's signature.
I heard that there is an intellectual profession who designs other people's signature called atho-something. My friend bought me a pack of cigarettes make in PRO China-Zhong Nan Hai- and every cigarettes was numbered serially. It was a long time I smoked this cigarette.
There is a strange guilt feeling in writing a blog. I like reading other people's blogs and one of the blogger was saying the same thing. I'm just writing daily plains but more than 500 visited my blog last week. One of the friends who I met at the chatroom said he is reading my blog everyday. Hearing an information like this, I feel guilty and think I have to write a more interesting blog. A trackback-"I'm visiting your blog frequently".
I'm just writing articles like -I bought a new stamp -I ate shushi -I can't find my earpick
Now, I'll write a daily diary.
Plain No.1: There was an earthquake yesterday in Japan. I have once talked with my friend about "Calamity and tobacco". If one of the city will crumbled away into dust by an earthquake or something, would tobacco be brought as relief goods? Why don't we make a network of smokers and let the member who lives near the collapsed city bring tobaccoes and tools to deliver?
Plain No.2: I forgot(was lazy) to go out for a pack of cigarette and quit smoking for one day. I was always going to my local tobacco store so the shopkeeper maybe waiting for me. I'm one of the regular visitors and a familiar face.
I wrote about "Letter Writing Day" yesterday and this is the sequel. The real "Fu-Mi-no-Hi" is the 23rd of July as July is the month of "Fumi" in Japanese calendar..
There is an idly expensive souvenir sheet of Letter Writing Day issued in 1986..
Please have a look at the part of catalogue value. It costs 8,000Yen. Fortunately, I have one sheet as I was collecting stamps in the same age. I did not have an idea of making FDC(First Day Cover-a cover canceled with its date of issue). An FDC of this sheet costs 13,000Yen. I should have made one. Regret always comes after. The reason this sheet is expensive is that it was an article not for sale and we had to hit the mark of the lotteries of Summer greeting cards. This was the first souvenir sheet of Letter Writing Day.
Another expensive souvenir sheet of an New Year which costs 10,000Yen.
I really need a pair of tweezers to touch this stamp. Really thin paper. Fortunately, I had 2 same sheets so sold one when I lost interests to collect Japanese stamps(blog of 11th Oct.). I got quite a money.
Materials like this looks more interesting for me.
They are very cheap-almost treated like a rubbbish in the stocks of dealers-but I can feel the division of history. In 1966, Okinawa was still the territory of USA and 10years after the conversion from B-Yen to $.
O, most of the jpeg files are enlarged when clicked. Please have a look at the details.
A girl who's name is Y.W. said she is still corresponding with her friends and she just became 20years old. I was happy to hear that she is still writing letters and using stamps so I sent her 80Yen(1st class posts-envelopes are 80Yen in Japan) stamps I have.
Unfortunately, I don't have a stock of the stamps of Doraemon, the one of the most famous cartoon.
Instaid, I sent her the set of postcards of Doraemon
In fact, it's really difficult to collect used stamps of Japan, especially the ones of 1960s. It was the second boomlet and the stamps were printed in a large amount but few people used them in the same age. They thought that the stamps will rise in price and kept them mint but the mint stamps are very cheap -slumped- in the market. The shops do not purchase 7Yen, 15Yen stamps.
Used stamps seldom appear in the market and few dealers have mail order catalogue of used stamps. It's almost impossible to fill in the blanks of my used stamp collections of 1960s in stamps of good conditions-the name of the post office can be read and used at least after 6 months the date of issue.
It gets better after 1970s. Please click to enlarge.
The series stamps are difficult to complete. Sporadically issued stamps are more easier.
There is a day called "Fu-mi no hi(Letter Writing Day)" in Japan founded in 1979 and it's the 23rd day of every month. The word "Fu" means "2" and "Mi" means "3".
There are a lot of(too many) religions in Japan. I doubt the existence of the Religious Corporation Act. I don't matter whoever believe in whatever religion but it is said that there are more than 20,000 established religions n Japan. This means that the government approves of 20,000 different sciences of religions indirectly. If a so-called true real religion exists, the organization have to be the only one.
The Religious Corporation Act comes to me as a misunderstanding of the freedom of religion(article 20 of the Constitution of Japan).
Moreover, if a true religion exists, it can be sustained keeping calm of persecution of religion. If a preservation of historic temples or shrines etc. is needed, it has to be done under the Cultural Properties Protection Act.
I have once experienced a lesson of Jehovah's Witnesses. I was gave a "New-World Translation Bible" and a brainwashing text. It was really a brainwashing text. The questions were written at the top of the pages and at the bottom, how could I find the answers if I would have a look at which part of the Bible. If this method of study is forced to a little kid, an robot of Jehavah borns. They look like no harm to man and beast but the if I had a look of the inside, it was a Cult. They used to teach that Armageddon will come one age after 1914. There is an "assembly of the victims of Jehovah's Witnesses". They insist that they thought Armageddon will come soon so they offered everything to the religious order but the Armageddon does not come. Give us back our springtime of life! Most of the Jehovah's Witnesses not in regular work so that they can spend more time for propagation(they call it "sacrifice").
The unification(I don't know how it's called in English), the religion born in South Korea is much more nasty. I have a text of them but there are a lot of dummies.
Principle lecture(I don't know how it's called in English) My friend(well, not a real friend) gave I and I read it. Well, I read a book once even it is a rubbish. It says that WWI and WWII was a struggle to divide the world to the countries of god(capitalism) and the countries of Satan(communism) and there is a prophecy of WWIII to unite the 2 worlds. It says that Jesus could not discharge the duties of Messiah and the rebirth Messiah-Moon Son Myon's existence is justified. All the historic events are in numerical integration and theorized and according to this theory, the real messiah appears in the end of 20th century and the place is Korea-where the country of god(capitalism) and the country of Satan(communism) collide with. The reason of "combination marriage ceremony(again, I don't know how it's called in English)" is as follows. 1: There are a lot of crimes in the world. 2: Most of the crimes can be solved by the wisdom of Man. 3: but the sin of Adam is an hereditary and we need a help of Messiah. 4: Moon Son Myon-the real father can see through the karma of devotees going back to the past and constructs a best construction.
This is one of the dummies of this religion-Let's carry on a Platonic. Well, keeping platonic is one of the practices of the doctrins of this religion.
I also have a book like this. At last elucidated A.D.1999 I was given this book in A.D. 2000^ _^ I don't throw away books in fundamental so I still have it. This was also one of the dummies of the same religion.
There used to be a free postcard service with advertisements called "Poscomi" As a matter of course, I used this service and sent a lot not only to my friends but for myself by Poste Restante.
No.1
Cumulation Calendar year 824. I am writing a story based on Urbanitharnne, the world I created.
No.2
"MAINT" stands for "Monarchic Advanced Industrial Nation of Teqniqua.
No.3
This is an illegal copy of 500Yen coin of Japan made from 500Won coin of South Korea. There is no doubt that this is an infringement of Japanese sovereignty. Setting aside an age of war, unlawfulness in a time of an international order is much more malignant than annexation of Korea.
I was talking about "execution" with my friend. I have a book like this.
Diagram-All about executisins 3,800Yen. Well, it doesn't hurt as I like reading books. It explains all the executions all ages and world. The orthodox are throwing stones, death by hanging, shooting to death, etc., but I think few knows the real reason why criminals die by crucifixion. Unexpectedly, they die of difficult breathing, the pain has nothing to do. If one will be crucified on a cross or something in a condition that both arms are upper than shoulders, it will be difficult to breath and die slowly and slowly. There is an example that it took 2 days to die.
Most of the States in USA adopt killing by medicine but this is because of financial worries, not a question touching humanity. It was first adopted in Texas and Oklahoma. Oklahoma had 2 condemned criminals then but it took more than 65,000US$ to fix an electric chair, more than 4 times the money to fix a gas chamber. They needed a more economical method to execution.
Japan adopts humiliating death by hanging but in most of the senior nations, the abolition of capital punishment is going on. In fact, 90% of executions are said to be done in PRO China. After a sentence a person to death, most of the criminals are said to become quite an another man.. I remember a criminal who said he wanted to receive a death sentence right now and write a book about the psychology of condemned criminal! at the court.
The data I have is a one of 8 years ago but I read as follows. Albania: shooting to death & death by hanging Belarus: shooting to death & death by hanging Bulgaria: shooting to death Estonia: shooting to death Ireland: abolition of capital punishment Lithuania: shooting to death Uzbekistan: shooting to death & death by hanging Poland: shooting to death & death by hanging Tajikistan: shooting to death Turkmenistan: shooting to death & death by hanging Czech: abolition of capital punishment Romania: abolition of capital punishment Yugoslav(Serbia): shooting to death
A parcel arrived from a man who I met at the guestbook about Russia. It was a mountain of treasures. His wife is Polish and he sent me cigarettes, matches, lighters and also a book about Ireland-he said he cannot read it as it is written in English. His real name is Mr.K but when he broke his arm in Poland, the doctor said"Names of Japanese are difficult. May I call you Stefan?" and he answered "Do as you please! It hurts". and he's still using this name^_^
He once send me 4 covers from Poland too.
I told him that I would pay for the postal fee but he said I don't have to pay as we already became acquainted with. Thank you!
There was a lighter of Gdansk.
This match is maby of Czech.
As near as I can guess(I saw the side of the box), this match is for cigars.
