The last day of June. I've updated my blog everyday this month. I don't know how it will work next month though. I had to send 2 mails. One for Mr.T. who sent I some cigarettes of USSR. I sent him 2 stamp booklets of Korea with pictures of chess champions of Russia and East Europe for return.
Imperf. is a bit rare.
A painting fragile of Poland's rural district.
A ball-point pen of Gdansk.
I don't know how to read them. Please wait for the translation. An EMS mail to Australian Philatelic Society, 30$ membership fee.
I always need to confirm my Yahoo! Japan's ID and password every 24 hours. As I don't like and cannot remember my password provieded by Yahoo! Japan, I want to change it but don't know how to.
Another headache is that as I've already used the ID "wrlz" for Yahoo! Japan, I cannot use the same ID for Yahoo! UK & Ireland. I'm using "wrlz2" for UK & Ireland Yahoo!
I received a beautiful cover from Hong Kong, China but I had no experience of receiving anything from Hong Kong except my pen-pal.
I opened it with suspicion and it was a splendor auction catalogue but I don't have any memory of sending money to Hong Kong.
I enjoyed this catalogue rich in attractive materials very much. There were old covers,
mints and specimen
and somehow, there was a block of Ryukyu. I received another mail from Singapore that pressing I for the used stamps of Japan.
Well, I did send the stamps to his postal address but the mail came back. I'll try again, hoping his postal address on the back of the envelope is correct... I need 30 Australian dollars as a membership fee of Australian Philatelic Society. As it is difficult to provide Australian$, I am always sending 30US$. Hope they will accept US$ again.
There was a small discussion under the price hike and cautions written on cigarette boxes at Go smoking.
One of the members said he don't need any cute design nor rich paper and just let JT make very simple cigarettes of poor paper with no detailed information. 30% area's caution has to be printed under the law anyway but as we already know about the flavour, why not make cheap cigarettes on recycled paper without any beautiful design.
Just like the one I made using Photoshop.
I've once made an original cigarette box of Go smoking. I posted the URL on the BBS and one of the members downloaded the 360dpi file and constructed. Click to enlarge and get a 360dpi file. I found a nostalgic confectionery called "Ottotto"
I had to visit somewhere in my dream but forgot where it was when I woke up. It is said that a dream one forgets immediately allude something but I don't believe in such superstitions. I bought a carton of "Echo" cigarettes at my local tobacco shop.
As it was a purchase of only 1,700Yen/10boxes, I could not get what's called 100Yen-lighter.
I don't mind as I'm using matches for tobaccoes. I started using amazon.co.jp more actively and made what's called "wishlist". I think the URL is http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/registry/33HWYGQWV6ZFZ .
By the way, amazon always suggest something for I everytime I open the website. I already have them. Thank you.
I thought the scale will be 1Yen per 1 cigarette but not uniformly and some brands are kept in peace.
A clerk was cleaning the vending machines scribbled.:-( I can't imagine or rather think that we have to thank tobacco shops.
Though I've read a lot of Marquis de Sade's works, I am still not sure what masochism is. It is often explained as an action and reaction between sadism but I can't explain it in my own words.
I've read Donatien-Alphonse-Francois de Sade a lot, some in complete translation so I think I know something about sadism. I think Les 120 Journees de Sodom ou l'Ecole du libertinage is the masterpiece of Sade but the story of Justine was published at least 3 times. Les Infortune de la Vertu, Les Malheurs de la Vertu, ou La Nouvelle Justine(the story of Juliet exists as a companion), Nouvelle Justine.
Once, I've tried to read a one written in French but gave up. Today's recommendations;
My friend invited I to mixi(mix I) Social Networking Service. Though I knew its* existance, I did not have a chance to take part as noone had invited I. http://mixi.jp/join.pl?
*The possessive has to be spelled "its", not "it's" as this is an abbreviation of "it is".
I am a little shy on sending a message to a person I've never met but found a pipe smoker I've talked a little at Go smoking. I killed time watching a website of aquapipe.
I have my own at home. Australian Journal of Philately, No.96 just arrived.
There was an article about a cover sent to a Belgian Missionary in China.
"Morning 10 parcel" I have to send to my friend from whom I'm borrowing CDs. Recently, I'm using postal service very frequently.
I noticed that I can make "MyShop" at FC2 and wasted no time in adding my favorite artists. My ID is "philatelyandt-22".
music: yes/ABWH, EL&P, Jean-Michel Jarre, etc. arts: Max Ernst, Hiroki Mafuyu, etc.
The followings are the images which amazon doesn't have.
Legend of TARKUS/Nakai Norio
LOUISE/Hiroki Mafuyu
This is one of my past I want to forget. I was writing something every second month and one of the members voted that she liked this one. Please DON'T click to enlarge. It's too clumsy. More than 15 years ago...
I had a chance to draw the front page of Dreamers vol.13 and I like it.
I was told to draw an illustration of -Japanese style -Science fiction
I was troubled with the first term. Buddhism is not a Japanese style but China or India.
A postal mail to my friend.
I had received a cute letter from her but was too busy to send a reply. I enclosed 2 stamp booklets of Korea and a commercial cover of the Republic of Moldova.
I was asked if there is any philatelic material related on the sham battle of the Japanese army resident in China(Kanto-gun)
As far as I know, there is no stamps, postcards etc. directly related on this event and I suggested military posts posted by someone who took part in the battle. Mr.K. who asked I for such materials is making a website of USSR, Russia and northern district and wanted to explain that USSR's entry to the war was legal. He was using the precedent of the Military Tribunal for the Far East but said it is not satisfactory.
As for the philatelic era, it is equivalent to later Tazawa to second Showa series.
Most of the cancellations stamped on military posts have 3 stars at "C" space. The so-called Comb cancel can be divided in 5 parts, A to E.
space A: the name of the post office space B: date space C: hours
This "space C" is replaced to 3 stars and moreover, because of the military secret, names of the places seldom adopted as the names of the post offices and omitted like "The 33rd regiment", "The 5th field", etc.
It is still under investigation about how many/what kind of post office existed, and for how long, during the war.
As I was watching Japan vs Croatia(Worldcup) and could not cool down my temper, I only slept for 3 hours approx. yesterday. I am not very sure what this tarot means.
13; Death, inverted?
I still don't believe in fortune tellings but I found my interest rising. I'm just playing with Yahoo! Japan's free tarot. Is it multimedia or just wrong course shuffling using a mouse?
My horoscope is Leo(my birthday is 9th Aug.) but in what's called thirteen asterism, it's "New-Crab" or something. I made my own page at amazon.co.jp
Hiroki Mafuyu is a godlike artist for I, and I like yes and Jean-Michel Jarre.
Jean-Michel Jarre/OXYGENE(1976)
Jean-Michel Jarre/RENDEZ-VOUS(1986) This album includes "Ron's piece" which were to be played via the space relay if "Challenger" did not blow up...
I was glancing TV askance(soccer). I could not even go to bathroom in peace. The result: draw(I'm satisfied) The nostalgic past of more than15 years ago. I had to read Alistair MacLean as my homework when I lived in Dublin.
THE LONELY SEA
CIRCUS
I was told not to use English-Japanese dictionary but English-English dictionary. It was very hard, but thanks for the kind assistance, I can read and write English now
My English teacher told I to come to the library when I was not very successful with my English. Novels were too difficult for I to read but I found a book about chess. I learned what's called "fool's mate" etc.
"Be gone, the word!", I shouted in my dream and woke up. I wonder what it alludes to I.
The introduction: multistory buildings, high buildings, sky, sky and sky. "I want to eat ***" "I want to eat ***" "Go to ruin! such police!"
-dark change- hospital, midnight. bleep, bleep... nurse:"Dr.Ninomiya?" Ninomiya:"Yeah, he can already breath by himself. Let him sleep and observe the progress. nurse: "No, Mr.Mitsui is calling." Ninomiya: "All right, all right. I'll go and chat with him."
-dark change- Mitsui: "Dr., I have cancer, am not I?" Ninomiya: "Well well, the same question again. Listen Mr. Mitsui..." Mitsui: "I'm talking about my larynx, it's..." Ninomiya: "Of course there is a malaise. I did tell you there is a tumor." Mitusi: "Are you sure it's not a cancer?" Ninomiya: "I told you it's not a cancer for thousand times. By the way, why don't you smoke the cigarettes you liked so much? You even haven't opend the box. I told you it's safe."
Tears came out in my eyes when I read "ON LOUISE" again...
I bought 2 copies this book, but 2,600Yen is too moderate...
I sometimes feel uneasy about when spectacled characters remove their glasses.
Matoroga Kuru!!. Fujiko Fujio
Dr.Kishiwasa's Scientific Affection, Tony Takezaki.
I don't believe in fortune tellings but my yesterday's fate was perfect. I don't believe in, but just record it.
It says "Your today's fate is Super! Miracle! Special! Great! It's really great!! What a stroke of good fortune. This kind of propitious fate seldom appears. It's unbelievable!! You will have a replate day both mentally and physically. (The rest is omitted)
I like aircrafts. For the battleplanes, Sukhoi rather than MiG. Yak9b, issued from DPR Korea(imperf.) *DPR Korea recently issues both perf. and imperf. for the same stamp. Imperf. stamps are seldom listed on catalogues.
Some people will say "I'm not interested in such instruments of murder." but I think it's interesting to pay attention to development thoughts. Here is my small collection of aircrafts.
There is a battleplane called MacDonnell Douglas "Fantom(F-4)" of US. F-4 was very rich in diversity and was used at airforce, navy and marine: the type repaired for navy also took part in Korean War.
The existence of Fantom II at Israel was of deep significance as French government stopped the offer of Mirage series at Middle East, this fighter had a big influence on the war situation.
We do have Fantom in Self-Defense-Force of Japan as "Mitsubishi F-4EJ"
Once, we had a small conflict about drawing instrument-which is better, Rotring or Steadler.
As it had already shifted to computer plate process, we did not need drawing pens anymore. We brought the dusty drawing pens from storage and made an experiment.
For the ruling pen, I'm still using the one I bought when I was a student.
Of course, I can do the gutter-ruling using a brush and a glass rod.
I'm sometimes surprised that people don't know what perforation is. There is an international rule how to show the perforation. We count the numbers of the holes between 20mm. and show like "perf.13.5"
We use what's called "perforation gauge" to count the perf.
For example, these 2 sets of Istra look the same but if you count the perforations, you will notice the difference of the types.
As I am very fond of FC2, I decided to use the FC2 free website service.
Actually, I've uploaded my stamp collections here, but I've already used the maximum capasity of freett.com. I can upload more than Giga byte to FC2. It took 3 days(!) to upload all of my jpeg file... I've put every collection in different folders in order, but some of them have more than 200 files inside.
I liked this new website. Only a small advertisement at the bottom of the page.
Very short and simple. As it is almost impossible to let ALL the people who have put a link to my website, please change my URL in your site if you saw this blog.
This was originally my second separate website but I brought them together. Australian Pictorial Issues and more. Japanes only.
O, this is one of my nostalgic past. I liked the song and translated in English, with a rhyme for some words.
The rhythm is like this. Soh-lar-nee, hee-kaal, hoh-shimo Doh-koh-ka, fuu-shii-gi-naah, iro Koh-nnn-ya, chikyuuu-noh, u-e Nah-nikat, okkoterut *** Na-mi-da, no-k-ku Ki-zu-tsu I-te-mo A-tsu-i, yu-u-ki, ka-ku-shi Te-ruyo

It was raining hard in midnight but fine weather after rainfall in Tokyo.
It's very inconvenient as I am walking with the aid of cain(I broke my leg last year). I want a capital cain like this...
Mr.H. came around 11AM. and asked I to make the front leaf of Republic of China.
As it took only 30minutes to make, I told him 500Yen is enough but he left 2,000Yen. I made it before his eyes using Illustrator and let him know that it only needs very short time and it's not a 2,000Yen's work but he left 2,000Yen... He also brought a set of DPR Korea's stamps including the original of 5th anniv. Is this rare stamp really a gift?
Thanks a lot.
Is there anybody interested in Scott Australia 2002 CD-Rom?
Only 10.00US$ including postage.
As I've already bought the new edition of volume1 to 5(A to Z), I don't need it abymore.
Actually, I'm using Seven Seas catalogue for Australian stamps, not Scott.
My 2 EMS mails finally arrived to Queensland Philatelic Council. Phew.
56 spam mails. Once again, please don't include the words like "chance", "amazing", "waiting for you", etc. I don't check spam mails and delete them immediately.
I used to design banners for those who asked I for link exchanges but did not have their own banners.
When I sent back the CDs to my friend last week, I forgot to include one of them and have to go to the post office again. As I am a stamp collector, I don't use private delivery services but postal parcels.
