Shut up in this so young flame
Lit on with the arcade game

Crying Imawa mienakutomo
Searching Michishirubewa ukabu

Searching, I saw a guidstar behind

I wanna have a pure time
Everyone's a noble mind

15Sen x 3 = 3Yen?
A set of illustrated postcards commemorating the new constitution was issued in 27 Dec.1946.
pcj.gif

This was a set of three 15Sen postcards sold at 3Yen.
pcj.gif
Kawabata Ryushi

pcj.gif
Ishii Hakutei

pcj.gif
Fujita Tsuguharu

pcj.gif
Face value 15Sen(0.15Yen).
The postage was 15Sen during 25 July 1946-31 Mar.1947.
The catalogue value of mints is 2,500Yen but used are much more expensive.

Regret always come after
I should have made receipts of cigarettes during the transitional period-30th June and 1st July(there was a rise in price).
pcj.gif

It often escapes my memory but yesterday was "Letter-Writing Day".

The s/s of 1986costs around 8,000Yen.
pcj.gif

Fortunately, I was collecting stamps in the same age so I have 1 mint in my stock but if I had made an FDC, it was to have been 13,000Yen.

I liked Dick Bruna a little,
pcj.gif

but not very much for the recent stamps.

I made a first day cancel of the s/s of 1997 like this. I'm not sure if a part of the cancellation has to hang over the envelope or not.
pcj.gif

These 2 are my favorites.
pcj.gif

DPR Korea
The chance for I to start collecting stamps of DPR Korea(North Korea) was this sheetlet commemorating the 50th anniv. of Korean Labours' Party.
pcj.gif

The journal of Korean stamp study group arrived.
pcj.gif

There was a little change in the national emblem of DPR Korea.
pcj.gif
The mountain at the back was replaced with Mt.Peaktu where Kim Jong Il was said to be born.
pcj.gif

Dr.T.M. is eager in making a complete database of newly issued stamps and stationary of DPRK.
pcj.gif

I have the aerogramme of Peng Dehuai in unfolded condition and a commercial cover.
pcj.gif

I can spare one if anybody is interested as I have 2 same aerogrammes.

The early stamps are rich in varieties,
pcj.gif

but there are some reprints among stamps after 1980s.
The early stamps are rich in varieties,
pcj.gif

Some of the stamps have varieties in paper.
pcj.gif
Printed on lucid paper for export, poor paper for domestic use.
We have found 70 approx. stamps which have variety in paper.

The 2nd Showa Series
No gum, no perf.
The 2nd Showa Series stamps during WWII are available around 27,000Yen in set of 23.
Some of them are in no gum, no perf. and a lot of delays at notifications of issue.

pcj.gif
Imperial Order.
This stamps was to be printed in light blue but because of the defective contact, printed in gray.
Answering the inquiry via GHQ, Japan Post made a retroactive notification that this stamp was issued in 1st April 1945. In fact, the perf. appeared around 15 Apr. and imperf appeared around May and only available at Tokyo.

pcj.gif
Nogi Maresuke.
Both, no gum. Perf.appeared around May 1945 and imperf. around 17 Mar.

pcj.gif
The Great East-Asianism.
With gum issued in 1st Dec.1942, no gum appeared around Apr. 1945.
This stamp incurred the wrath of General MacArthur, GHQ, as it drew the Philippines islands where he had a humiliating defeat by Imperial Japanese Army.

All of the stamps above became invalid form 31 Aug. 1947.

Skull on stamps
I received a mail from Mrs.T. of Kadokawa and she told I that she needs 360dpi files of the following stamps.

1.Austria, unissued.
pcj.gif

CTO is a little rare.

2.Bophuthatswana, not Botswana.
pcj.gif

3.Mongol-Uls.
pcj.gif

By the way, the display of Yahoo! Japan Mail changed close to that of Yahoo! UK & Ireland.
pcj.gif

1GB capacity for free.

Volleyball on stamps
I had been forgetting to let Mr.G. who collects volleyball on stamps that I did have 6 items for him.
Booklets and cancellations of volleyball.
pcj.gif

I had received $100 from him and he has $35.50 credit.

Good fortune keeps on, (but I don't believe in fortune tellings).
pcj.gif

pcj.gif

Aircrafts on stamps
I used to make a lot of FFC(First Flight Cover)s and still collect some stamps of aircrafts.

This is an FFC of Tokyo-Manila.
pcj.gif

Arrival mark.

Small Commemorative Handstamp used at Iruma Aviation Day.
pcj.gif

South Wing(Narita), Last Day Cover.
pcj.gif

FFC of Nagoya-Amsterdam.
pcj.gif

Air Koryo(DPR Korea), FFC.
pcj.gif

Australian Antarctic Territory to East Germany. Wilkes does not exist now.
pcj.gif

Illustrated postmarks
I was looking into my albums for commercially used illustrated postal cancellations.
Most of them are philatelic covers.

pcj.gif
Pusan to Tokyo, not Poste Restante unfortunately

pcj.gif
Kisinev to Singapore.

pcj.gif
Berlin.

pcj.gif
Bonn.

As for the following 2, please wait for detailed translations as I cannot read Russian.

pcj.gif
Transdniestria, Tiraspol to Bender.
Please have a look at EURASIA for more information about Transdniestria.

pcj.gif
Ukraine to Slovenia.

I don't believe in fortune tellings though, my yesterday's fate was almost perfect so I'll just record it.
pcj.gif

Japan, used
As "Mercury" ready-made illustrated album is convenient to file used stamps, many collectors seem to use it.

I'm always looking for a "good" used of which the date and name of the post office can be read, used within 6months from the date of issue.

pcj.gif
50th Anniv. of Japanese Emigration to Brazil.
2 Dec. 1959/Nara, Gose(issued in 18 June 1958)

pcj.gif
Philatelic Week
May 1960/Hamamatsu(issued in 20 Apr.1960)
A good used, maybe costs around 400Yen or more.

pcj.gif
I'm willing to get better stamps for at least Philatelic Weeks.

pcj.gif
Feb.1970.

Too many blanks in National Parks.
pcj.gif

I scanned some of my registered mails.

pcj.gif
Standard 3Sen + Registered 7Sen=10Sen

pcj.gif
15Yen + 60Yen=75Yen.

pcj.gif
15Yen + 100Yen=115Yen.

pcj.gif
60Yen + 350Yen=410Yen.

5Yen era, 20Yen, 30Yen and 300Yen era are missing.

Tracing my EMS
I know it's safe, but...
pcj.gif

pcj.gif

pcj.gif

already arrived to Australia 6005.

P-stamps
I filled in the application form to make personalised stamps of Japan, maybe 3 or 4 sheets of 80Yen(standered) and 50Yen(postcards).

It's a pity that P-stamps of Japan is not very rich in varieties.
pcj.gif

pcj.gif

As for Australia, though I could not make all of them, a lot of cute designs.

pcj.gif
I think these 45c are the first P-stamps of Australia.

pcj.gif
or maybe this set was.

pcj.gif

A reply from Mr.T.Y. who is very fluent in Russian.
"Stolichn'ye" means "capital",

"Rossiyskiye" means "Russian",

"Vecherniye" means "dusk"
"sigarety" means "cigarette"
and
"s fil'trom" means "with filter".

Thanks a lot.
Cigarettes de l'URSS.

Postage
I am sometimes surprised that many people(non-philatesists) don't know how much the postal fees are, even as for domestic mails.

80Yen for standard (not less than 140mm, not bigger than 235mm x not less than 90mm, not bigger than 120mm) mails.
pcj.gif

50Yen for postcards(not smaller than 140mm, not bigger than 154mm x not smaller than 90mm. not bigger than 154mm. within 6g)
pcj.gif

Stamped envelopes are sold at 60Yen.
pcj.gif

This stamped envelope was first sold in 13 Jan.1996 when the zip code was in 5 digit and it was 51Yen when tax was 3%,
pcj.gif

pcj.gif

and in free service for elderly in 31 Mar. 1996.
pcj.gif

An airmail from Australia.
pcj.gif

Stamps for international postage have to be put on foreign mails.
pcj.gif

I was asleep
I slept more than 40 hours

I did some work and went to bed, passed a good night

I rarely do, but I used smily marks provided by FC2

Good night

Scenic cancallations of Korea
By happy chance I'm enjoying communicating with stamp collectors at mixi SNS.

There is a community exchanging P-stamps or postages cancelled by illustrated postmarks.
Why don't we collect Scenic cancellations oversea, not only of that of Japan?
I've bought a bundle of 140Won postcards at South Korea and wrote to several post offices at Korea.
I cannot send money by normal mails but 2 or 3 enclosed International Reply Coupon will do.
I also bought some full sheets of 200Won.
Does anyone want it? 20$+postage.

I'm too lazy to scan all of them but this is Seoul CPO,
pcj.gif

the Scenic cancellation of Seoul CPO,

My website registered
My new website of stamp collection finally recorded on Yaoo! Japan, category_stamp.
pcj.gif

The new URL is http://wrlz.web.fc2.com/

La Philatelie Vostok is already recorded.
I've updated a little.

As for All about tobaccoes, I'm updating very frequently.

pcj.gif

I have also downloaded Opera for Macintosh.
pcj.gif
It scrolls very fast.

Obakasan
The Japanese word "obakasan" means you are foolish.

I used to make some "obakasan" covers.

An FDC of the new year's stamp. Too much stamps on the envelope.
pcj.gif

Normally, new year cards are delivered without cancellation but we exchanged new year's handstamp among our friends.
pcj.gif

There was a markdown of postal fee for non standered mails in 1 Dec. 1997.
This is a last day cover of 130Yen
pcj.gif

and the 1st day of 120Yen, both Poste Restante.
pcj.gif

I never can resist
Though I decided not to buy newly-issued commemorative stamps of Japan anymore, they were too much for I.

My favorite cartoon comic Doraemon

This is the 3rd time Doraemon issued from Japan Post.

Actually, I have something to do before buying such pop art stamps.
My very basic collections of Kiku and Tazawa still have many blanks.
pcj.gif

pcj.gif

Nothing special
My EMS has already arrived to Melbourne.
pcj.gif

30.00$ as a membership fee of Australian Philatelic Society.

I posted it in 29 June and arrived to Australia in 1 July.
EMS is really quick and fast.

I did not know that Swan River Stamp Show 2006 is going to be held.
I sent 2 exhibits to River City 2006 but I should have sent one to the another one.

I am too lazy to go to hospital, but I did go.

Japan Communist Party
As a pre-election campaign, I got a visit from the member of a ward assembly.
pcj.gif

As I am no longer a supporter of Japan Communist Party, I only received a free copy of the bulletin "Akahata".
pcj.gif
She asked I for a subscription and I told her I'll make a reply next month but I was forced to answer immediately.
Well, well, well...I told her that more than 70 families live in this apartment.

Postal GIRO
I received something from Japan Post
pcj.gif

It was a bundle of paper for postal GIRO which I was waiting for more than 3 months.
pcj.gif

I only need 15Yen commission when sending money from GIRO to GIRO.

I also need some more GIRO paper for oversea.
pcj.gif

Urbanitharnne
The first day of July.
Can I update my blog everyday again?_God knows.

I created my own language of the imaginary world "Urbanitharnne".
Is it too eccentric?
Well, there is a progressive rock band "MAGMA", singing in the fanciful language "Kobaia",
