Stamps of Germany
Yes, I collect the stamps of Germany. Click to enlarge.
I have all the stamps from Deutsche Einheit to 2001, no blanks.
germany.jpeg

I even have a huge amount of used stamps.
deutsused.jpeg

My friend Mr.M .K. sent them for me free and they even include commercially used miniature sheets.
I also have one German ATM with face value 1,000DM.
1000dm.jpeg

I think I can buy another album for used stamps.
I have shown the stamps from 1980 to 2001 in my website and the total catalogue value is about 2,500,00Yen in Japan
Although I was offered the Deutsche Einheit stamps free from my friend, surely, I am spending a lot of money for stamps and pipes.
This pipe costed US$375.00. Poul Winslow handmade.
pwinslow1.jpeg

This is one of my favorite pipes in the 20 I have, but I have a really special pipe.
It's a Handmade Pipe by Mr.Shizuo Arita . I was on friendly terms with him and asked him to make a pipe especially for me.
This is the one, Shizuo Arita No.0332
arinko.jpeg

As he attached a condition to me to keep the price secret, I can't tell you in how much I bought it but it compares favorably with 100,000Yen-class pipes of Dunhill in its quality,

There are many blanks in my collection of West Germany, 1980-1990.
westgermany.jpeg

I'm going to fill in the blanks little by little.
Again, I am spending a lot(^_^;
The early German stamps have strong gums, so I'm keeping them in a dry case with early China. There is a season called "Tsuyu", raining days around June in Japan so I have to be careful with humidity.
I haven't bought the stamps after 2002 in Euro yet. Stamps of Germany are expensive.

My friend in Freilassing has sent me a lot of unique items like plusbriefs, coil stamps, Nachtraglich entwertet etc. not listed in the catalogue issued in Japan.
I have a page My Favorite Germany Collection in my website.
He even offered me a full sheet of Austria, the one I like most.
austriafullsheet.jpeg

I've bought Michel Deutschland-Katalog 2000/2001 for more detailed information.
The only problem is that I can't understand the correct meaning of German language(^_^;
micheleuropa.jpeg

As I was in hospital last year, I did not keep up a regular correspondence, so I sent him a mail to apologize my long silence but the mail came back. Maybe his e-mail address has changed. I will send him a mail to his postal address.
I also introduced him this blog.
When I started this blog, I gave publicity to my friends but very few leaves a comment.

Dear Koji,
you certainly spend a lot of money on stamps and tobacco. What are your family and friends saying about this?

I have to tell you that the German ATM has a denomination of just 10,00 Deutschmark (DM). German Post issued stamps with Pfennig denominations. 1 Deutschmark = 100 Pfennig. So, the actual denomination is 1,000 Pfennig equal to 10,00 Euro. It's an ATM from Nagler machines that allowed the printing of ATM with a denoimination up to 99.95 DM (=9,995 Pfennig).

As for the Macau ATM "Environment" with bold printing (also from a Nagler machine), it is listed in the latest Michel catalogue as 4.2 (p. 316).

Well, I need to leave the lab and go to the bank and P.O. to send you an R-mail by Express today.

Cheers,
Karim from Taipei

Hi Mr.Karim.

Thank you for visiting again:-)
My family and friends understand my hobby and think I'm diligent(*^_ *) with philately and also with tobacco. I've studied about the history of tobacco and my parent think I am a specialist in tobaco(laghf).

Thanks for the information about German ATM.
Well, I need German ATMs in Pfennig or Euro face values.
I'll wait for a reply from my friend in Germany.
